Softball Recap: Deer Park Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Deer Park won the last time they faced Pullman and things went their way on Friday too. The Stags were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Greyhounds. The Stags might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by six runs or more this season.

Sammy Fausti was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kapri Bailey, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Deer Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pullman only posted an OBP of .190.

The victory was the third in a row for Deer Park, bringing their record up to 18-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pullman, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.

Deer Park will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Greyhounds: the pair will be back at it again later today.
