Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Osborn Knights, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Friday.

As for Osborn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.

For Osborn's part, Quincy Foster-Fish was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Pierre Parker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Coming up, Central will head out to face off against Dakota at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Osborn, they will face off against Oak Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
