Santa Fe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Sandia, who was ranked third at the time (Santa Fe was ranked eighth). Santa Fe came up short against Sandia on Tuesday, falling 83-60. The Demons' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-52, which was the final score in Capital's tilt against Eldorado on Tuesday.

Capital has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Santa Fe, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 15-6.

Everything came up roses for Santa Fe against Capital in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 62-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Santa Fe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
