Soccer Recap: Cane Bay Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cane Bay walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Carolina Forest Panthers 2-1. This was payback for Cane Bay, who suffered a 5-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Eiliyah Tomes and Claire Orth scored both of Cane Bay's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 45 goals.

Cane Bay is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those six matchups. As for Carolina Forest, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-10.

Looking ahead, Cane Bay will head out to challenge James Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. James Island will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Cane Bay surely won't give up without a fight. Carolina Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
