Roswell had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Chamblee Bulldogs 51-6. The victory was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Trey Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 340 yards and two TDs while picking up 17.0 yards per attempt. Those 340 passing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wills Campbell, who picked up 104 receiving yards and one score.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Roswell proved: they limited Chamblee to a paltry 3.3 yards per carry. While three picked up at least two total tackles, Elijah Istanboulian stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made two total tackles. Roswell didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.8.

Chamblee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Doss, who threw for 191 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 31 yards.

Roswell's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Chamblee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Roswell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 50-7 victory against Clarke Central on the 21st. Chamblee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
