Baseball Recap: Bishop O'Dowd Triumphs

Bishop O'Dowd won against Encinal last Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Dragons won by a run and slipped past the Saint Mary's Panthers 8-7. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Leo Schwartz looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Rashad Hayes was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Bishop O'Dowd's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Vander Cole, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.
