Basketball Recap: Suncoast Finds Playoff Glory Versus Boynton Beach

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Suncoast walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 68-42 margin over the Boynton Beach Tigers on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Jamarey Harris was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-12 on his way to 18 points and five assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Walter Brinkley, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points.

Suncoast smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Suncoast's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Boynton Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Suncoast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-54 defeat against Stranahan on the 7th. Boynton Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
