Gardner had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Clinton Gaels 51-20. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 24 points or more this season.

Gardner's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Clinton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gardner will head out to challenge Narragansett Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Narragansett Regional knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Gardner likes a good challenge. As for Clinton, they will square off against Lunenburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
