Basketball Game Preview: Granger Lions vs. McDade Bulldogs

The Granger Lions will venture away from home to face off against the McDade Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Granger has four straight wins, McDade has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

It was a proper cat-fight when Granger duked it out withRosebud-Lott on Friday. Granger breezed by Rosebud-Lott to the tune of 56-28. The Lions pushed the score to 49-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, McDade took a blow against Thorndale on Friday, falling 82-31. While losing is never fun, McDade can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1656th, while Thorndale is ranked 632nd).

Granger pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for McDade, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Granger took their win against McDade in their previous matchup on January 3rd by a conclusive 53-27. In that matchup, Granger amassed a halftime lead of 29-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
