Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Unaka, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over University School on Thursday. Kimberly Proffitt spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.

That home run marked the first that Buckles has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Markland, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

West Greene skirted past Unaka 8-6 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffaloes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
