Basketball Recap: Bound Brook Takes a Loss

Bound Brook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against The Pingry School Big Blue, falling 75-38. The Crusaders lost against the Big Blue in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 54-52 score last time.

The Pingry School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Neel Sappidi, who went 7 for 12 en route to 20 points and eight boards. Sappidi's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Polanco, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 17 points.

Bound Brook now has a losing record at 5-6. As for The Pingry School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bound Brook won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dayton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for The Pingry School, they will square off against Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
