Preview: Gilead Christian Eagles vs. Faith Christian Academy
The Gilead Christian Eagles will look to defend their home court on Friday against Faith Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Gilead Christian suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-31 defeat at the hands of Shekinah Christian. It was the first time this season that Gilead Christian let down their fans at home.
Despite the defeat, Gilead Christian had strong showings from Denim Myers, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks, and Diesel Myers, who scored eight points along with two steals. Myers hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 46-30 fall against Kingsway Christian. Faith Christian Academy has struggled against Kingsway Christian recently, as their contest on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Gilead Christian's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for Faith Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Gilead Christian beat Faith Christian Academy 51-38 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Does Gilead Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Faith Christian Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
