Baseball Recap: Greeley Find Success

Greeley came out on top against Tappan Zee on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Quakers took their game against the Dutchmen 6-3.

Greeley got a great performance from Mike McCarville as he pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off ten hits. What's more, McCarville posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Spencer Walden, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Rhys Herrell also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Greeley's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Tappan Zee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
