It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Virgin Valley can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Moapa Valley Pirates on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Kinley Hughes paced Virgin Valley's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hughes got some help from Mayzie Tobler and her 37 assists. Tobler also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hayden Owsley, each putting up two.

Moapa Valley can attribute much of their success to Chloe Dalley, who had 18 digs. Dalley has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Virgin Valley's loss dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Moapa Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-20 record this season.
