Soccer Recap: Waupaca Takes a Loss

After flying high against Antigo on Saturday, Waupaca came back down to earth. The Comets took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clintonville Truckers on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brody Woitczak wasn't going to let Clintonville walk away unscathed as he scored both of Waupaca's goals, bringing his season total up to 12 goals.

Waupaca dropped their record down to 3-8-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Clintonville, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waupaca will face off against Denmark at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clintonville, they will host Gibraltar at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
