After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stratford Academy, Mount de Sales Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the First Presbyterian Day Vikings, posting a 68-36 victory. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Mount de Sales Academy found their leader in sophomore Zavion DeShazier, who posted eight points along with seven assists and four steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for DeShazier. Another player making a difference was Jackson Rowley, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

Mount de Sales Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win snapped Mount de Sales Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-6 record. As for First Presbyterian Day, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Piedmont Academy the next time they take the court. Mount de Sales Academy will host Piedmont Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while First Presbyterian Day will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
