Basketball Recap: Clinton Christian Comes Up Short

Clinton Christian lost against Trinity Greenlawn back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Clinton Christian Couriers lost 43-20 to the Trinity Greenlawn Titans. The matchup marked the Couriers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Clinton Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Edmund Hull posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Ramer, who earned three points and six rebounds.

Trinity Greenlawn's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Skendzel led the charge by going 7 of 17 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ian Abbott, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points and five steals.

Clinton Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Trinity Greenlawn, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Clinton Christian is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Michiana Christian Home Educators at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Greenlawn, they will host Culver Community at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st.
