Basketball Recap: Hydaburg Takes a Loss

Hydaburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Klawock Chieftains. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Chieftains this season, with their most recent loss being a 43-23 defeat last Thursday.

Klawock had a senior duo take command as Lea Armour posted 13 points and five boards and Kaiya Marvin earned five points and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Armour has scored at least a third of Klawock's points.

Hydaburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Klawock, they pushed their record up to 11-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hydaburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Klawock has already played their next matchup (against Angoon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
