Volleyball Recap: Clay Takes a Loss

Clay lost against Fleming Island back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils lost 3-0 to the Golden Eagles. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Clay ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Clay still got an impressive performance from Shiloh Marshall-Simmons, who had 16 digs and two assists.

Clay now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fleming Island, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Clay will host Bishop Snyder at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fleming Island, they will head out to take on Bolles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
