Basketball Recap: Hagerman Comes Up Short

Hagerman was the 45-29 winner over Elida when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Hagerman Bobcats lost 45-21 to the Elida Tigers on Thursday.

Hagerman has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. Elida pushed their record up to 15-11 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hagerman won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elida, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers duke it out with the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Elida is facing Lake Arthur at the right time seeing as Lake Arthur is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
