Softball Recap: Providence Academy's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Providence Academy proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 13) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Ozark Hillbillies 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Providence Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Ozark, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Providence Academy has already played their next game, a 7-4 defeat against Greenland on the 12th. As for Ozark, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Green Forest on the 12th.
