Softball Recap: Ludlow Lions vs. Mahar Regional Senators
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ludlow). Everything went their way against the Mahar Regional Senators on Monday as they made off with a 23-5 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Caitlyn Peczka was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. Peczka was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Liv Slatton was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddie Gonsalves, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.
Ludlow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .744. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
