Soccer Recap: Greenbrier Sets Scoring Season-High Against Republic

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenbrier). They blew past RePublic 9-0 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what Greenbrier needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Their offense was hitting RePublic from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Emma Randazzo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Greenbrier moved to 4-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for RePublic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenbrier will face off against Station Camp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for RePublic, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on LEAD Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
