For the first time this season, Rye Cove will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to face off against the Thomas Walker Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rye Cove has four straight victories, Thomas Walker has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

14 must be Rye Cove's lucky number: they beat Jenkins with that score not once but twice two weeks ago. The Eagles didn't even let the Cavaliers on the board, marking the Eagles' second-straight 14-0 shutout. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Thomas Walker's offense. They came up short against Harlan on Tuesday, falling 20-0.

Rye Cove's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Thomas Walker, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
