Baseball Recap: Hudson Takes a Loss

Hudson fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Cairo-Durham on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1. The Bluehawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hudson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Conte, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases. Antonio Troy also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Cairo-Durham, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hudson will face off against Hoosick Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cairo-Durham, they will challenge Chatham at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
