Volleyball Recap: Fenwick Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Fenwick posted their closest win since September 11th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Yorkville Foxes 2-1. This was payback for the Friars, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Fenwick was led to victory by SOPHIA LEONARDI and SOFIA GROSSMAN. LEONARDI had ten digs and three assists, while GROSSMAN had six assists. LEONARDI has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Fenwick has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Yorkville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fenwick will head out to take on Hinsdale South at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Friars are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Yorkville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Oswego at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
