Baseball Game Preview: Corvallis Blue Devils vs. Libby Loggers

The Corvallis Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Libby Loggers at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Thursday, Corvallis needed a bit of extra time to put away St. Ignatius. They skirted past the Bulldogs 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Corvallis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bodhi Southwell, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Southwell has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, while Libby put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Noxon. The Loggers had just enough and edged out the Red Devils 2-0.

Not much got past Boe Miles, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Noxon off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bransen Holzer, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Corvallis' record now sits at 6-10. As for Libby, their record is now 6-11.
