Ventura waltzed into their game  on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with  a   19-14  win over the Pacifica Tritons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  20-10  last Tuesday.
 Jessie Sebek made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and ten unearned) runs off   11  hits. Sebek was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-6 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Makayla Halley, who  scored three  runs while going 5-for-6. Those  five  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Tessa Denger was another key player,  scoring four  runs while going 2-for-6.
 Ventura  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 19  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in four consecutive  contests.
Ventura pushed their record up to 13-2 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Pacifica,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-9.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ventura will  face off against  rival Oxnard  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pacifica is set to  challenge  their familiar foe San Marcos  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
