Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Charter Extends Winning Streak to Seven + How To Watch

Cornerstone Charter had won six straight games and Ashley Belland did her part to make it seven on Tuesday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Leadership Academy Falcons with a sharp 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Belland, who had seven aces and six digs. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

One reason for the win was Cornerstone Charter's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-12.

Leading Cornerstone Charter to victory were Aubrey Kimball and Emery Jones. Kimball had 11 digs and three assists, while Jones had six digs and three aces. That's the most digs Jones has posted over her last six games.

They weren't the only good server: Cornerstone Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 27 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Cornerstone Charter's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Leadership Academy, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.
