Volleyball Game Preview: South Colonels vs. South Lancaster Academy Crusaders

South is 0-4 against South Lancaster Academy since May of 2022 but things could change on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m.

South came up short against Fitchburg last Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss put an end to the Colonels' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, South Lancaster Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Ayer Shirley last Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

The victory didn't come easy: Ayer Shirley scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-18, 18-25, 25-21.

South Lancaster Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for South, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

South couldn't quite get it done against South Lancaster Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Colonels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
