Softball Recap: Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy Beats Norwood for Their Third Straight Win

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Norwood Indians with a sharp 10-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on April 8th.

Kylene Werner made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabi Koehler, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Cecilia Wissman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matchups.
