Recap: Grapeland Sandies vs. San Augustine Wolves
The Grapeland Sandies''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 42-28 fall against San Augustine. Grapeland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as San Augustine apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Leading San Augustine to victory were Tymorian Cartwright and D'Adrian Renfro. Cartwright threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, while Renfro gained 145 total yards and three touchdowns. Renfro was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Jayden "Stooka" Clifton also helped out with an impressive 98 receiving yards.
Grapeland's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for San Augustine, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Grapeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. San Augustine also has no future games currently scheduled.
