Basketball Recap: Faith Baptist Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Faith Baptist Contenders came up short against the Castaic Coyotes and fell 61-52.

Castaic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack S, who posted 19 points. With that strong performance, S is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Alvin C, who earned 18 points.

Faith Baptist now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Castaic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Faith Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-23 win against Lancaster Baptist on the 16th. Castaic will take on Lakeview Charter in a holiday battle at at 1:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Castaic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Lakeview Charter likes a good challenge.
