Softball Game Preview: Lake View Chiefs/Maidens vs. Big Spring Steers

Lake View hasn't had much luck against Big Spring recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Chiefs/Maidens will take on the Steers at 5:00 p.m. Lake View will be strutting in after a win while Big Spring will be coming in after a defeat.

Lake View was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty, sneaking past 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chiefs/Maidens have posted since February 22nd.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, Big Spring was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Snyder, falling 11-1. The Steers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Lake View now has a winning record of 13-12-1. As for Big Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Lake View couldn't quite get it done against Big Spring in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 8-5. Can the Chiefs/Maidens avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
