Volleyball Recap: Merrill Takes a Loss

Merrill lost against Mosinee back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bluejays took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Brooklyn Harding paced Merrill's offense, picking up three kills. Harding got some help from Kaela Clerveaux and her five assists. Kendell Klug controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Taelyn Jirschele was the offensive standout of the game as she had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Merrill's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Mosinee, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

While Merrill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
