Recap: Central Eagles vs. North Central Knights
Even though the Central Eagles have not done well against the North Central Knights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Central snuck past North Central with a 46-40 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Jordyn Griffin was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for she. The team also got some help courtesy of Taisha Quick, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for North Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lewisville at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Lewisville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Friday. As for North Central, they will head out on the road to face off against York Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
