Softball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern had taken East Palestine down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Indians came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-6. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 10-7.

Raelea Carosiello led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Gianna Pecorelli also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for East Palestine, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Coming up, Southern will head out to square off against United at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Palestine, they will square off against Lake Center Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
