Softball Recap: Moorpark Musketeers vs. Oak Park Eagles

On Thursday, Moorpark never let their opponents score. Everything went their way against the Oak Park Eagles as the Moorpark Musketeers made off with an 11-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Moorpark sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Madison Finnerty made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over 6.1 innings pitched. Finnerty has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Finnerty was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Moorpark let Driana Martinez and Sydney Burckhard loose on the outfield. Martinez went 4-for-5 with four RBI, a run, and a double, while Burckhard scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
