It was a good run, but Commerce unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 52-36 bruising from the Rains Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Wildcats are ranked 61st).

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Rains, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Commerce will challenge Winnsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rains, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Rains Wildcats take on the Mount Vernon Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
