Recap: Green County Dragons vs. Mercer County Titans
On Saturday, Green County came up short against the Titans and fell 57-49. Green County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mercer County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ak Drakeford out in front who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Drakeford is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last 14 games she's played. Skylar Webb was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Green County has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Mercer County, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green County will stay at home for another game and welcome the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kentucky (John Hardin is ranked 116th, while the Dragons are ranked 100th). As for Mercer County, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.
