Clear Fork dropped their record down to 5-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Marion Harding Presidents by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Colts' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Marion Harding, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

For Marion Harding's part, Tyson Lind spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Marion Harding's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Pennington, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Landon Keller also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

While Clear Fork had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
