Softball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short

Cleveland's last matchup with Verdugo Hills could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. Cleveland came up short against Verdugo Hills, falling 13-2. The Cavaliers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dons from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Cleveland and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Verdugo Hills, they pushed their record up to 2-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cleveland will challenge Harvard-Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Verdugo Hills, they will face off against Faith Baptist at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
