Softball Game Preview: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. Heritage Mountaineers

Sequoyah is 2-8 against Heritage since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Chiefs will host the Mountaineers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sequoyah lost 11-5 to Lenoir City on Tuesday.

Megan Ladd made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That hit was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Heritage didn't have quite enough to beat William Blount on Wednesday and fell 5-3. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Gennoe, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Sequoyah, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
