Volleyball Recap: Walsh Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Walsh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Springfield Longhorns. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Longhorns 25-20 in the first set.

Walsh started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-23, 25-9, 25-20.

Reece Mundell paced Walsh's offense, picking up nine kills. Mundell got some help from Ava Alley and her 21 assists.

Springfield can attribute much of their success to Tylynn Rosengrants, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Rosengrants has posted over her last seven matches.

Walsh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Springfield, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Walsh will head out to face off against Granada at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Springfield, they will be playing at home against Holly at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
