Baseball Recap: Braddock Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Braddock rose to the challenge on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Nova Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 on Wednesday.

Devin Lopez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Marcelo Torres was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Manny Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Braddock is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-1 record this season. As for Nova, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-13.

As of now, neither Braddock nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
