Volleyball Game Preview: Father Tolton vs. Southern Boone Eagles

Father Tolton will head out to face off against the Southern Boone Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Father Tolton was able to grind out a solid win over Kirksville, taking the game 3-1. The victory continues a trend for Father Tolton in their matchups with Kirksville: they've now won three in a row.

Father Tolton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 27-25, 25-9, 14-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Southern Boone earned a 3-1 victory over Hallsville on Thursday.

Southern Boone was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 23-25, 25-13.

Southern Boone's win bumped their record up to 10-16-1. As for Father Tolton, they now have a winning record of 13-12-1.

Father Tolton couldn't quite get it done against Southern Boone in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Father Tolton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
