Baseball Recap: Chamberlain Takes a Loss

Chamberlain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-0 to the Plant Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Storm were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in February of 2019.

Chamberlain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Plant, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chamberlain will host Tampa Bay Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chamberlain has given up an average of 10.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Plant, they will be playing at home against Armwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Plant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
