Wilmington entered their tilt with Streator on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Wilmington not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Streator to exactly 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20.

Rachel Smith paced Wilmington's offense, picking up 12 kills. Smith got some help from Molly Southall and her 16 assists. Melia Hincherick controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Wilmington's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Streator, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Wilmington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Crete-Monee on the 20th. As for Streator, they will host Lisle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
