Huntley and Central are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Red Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Rockets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Central will be up against a hot Huntley team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Red Raiders came out on top in a nail-biter against Antioch on Saturday, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Raiders have posted since May 9th.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Central sidestepped Batavia for a 3-2 win.

Tyler Kotwica looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Central's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chase Powrozek, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. That's the most hits Powrozek has posted over his last 12 matches.

Central now has a winning record of 17-16. As for Huntley, their record is now 19-14.
