Dumm Came Up Big in Northern Cambria's 28-0 Win
Starting off the list is Northern Cambria's Ty Dumm, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dumm rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 115 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
Dumm is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Conemaugh Township on Friday. When Dumm last faced the Indians back in September of 2023, he rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

West Shamokin was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Cole Wingard did his best to prevent it. Nobody could stop Wingard as he rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards.
West Shamokin is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Wingard and West Shamokin will square off against Conemaugh Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sam Yanits was instrumental in extending River Valley's winning streak to six on Friday. Yanits was unstoppable, rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
Yanits might have his next game, a road matchup with Marion Center, circled on his calendar. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Yanits saw the Stingers), he rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.
